Frequently Asked Questions What is a Motion Scrapbook? In the same way a scrapbook is a collection of favourite photos displayed in a creative way, Motion Scrapbooks take photos to the next level. Presented like a slideshow, these photos are synced to custom music and animated with pans, tilts, zooms and rotation. Video footage, titles, audio clips, credits and more can be added to your Motion Scrapbook. Are the Motion Scrapbooks Power Point presentations? No, Motion Scrapbooks are edited with a professional non-linear editing software. What makes a Motion Scrapbook different from homemade slide shows? Unlike other slideshows, Motion Scrapbooks by Aleeyah Productions, the music you choose is edited and synced exactly with your photos. Various picture movement and other digital effects are also added. What music is best to use? The best way to choose music for your Motion Scrapbook is to listen to different types and pick a song that relates to the movie topic. Another great way to make Motion Scrapbooks to look amazing is to choose music and photos that match each other, and let the editor arrange the photos according to the music. If you want to show lots of shorter photo shots, choose quicker music. If you would like longer photo shots, pick slower music. Also try not to choose long boring music, which will make the Motion Scrapbook long and boring. How many songs do I need? You can pick as many songs as you want. Each song represents a new part of the Motion Scrapbook, so however many parts you want is how many songs you will need. Most Motion Scrapbooks have 3 parts. Which pictures are best to use? The best pictures to use are clear, high quality photos. Try not to use pictures with lots of activity going on in the background. Landscape (or horizontal) photos look much better on Television screens then portrait (or vertical) photos. How many pictures do I need? The number of pictures needed depends on the length and speed of the music. You will need more pictures for quicker music then slower music. The editor will let you know exactly how many you will need once the music is edited. How do I organize my pictures? See Layouts and Options. Can Aleeyah Productions scan my pictures for me? Yes, your photos will be scanned at high quality at .25¢ per photo. How long are Motion Scrapbooks? The length of your Motion Scrapbook will depend on how long your music is and how many songs you choose. You may request a certain total if you wish. Can transitions between pictures be added? Yes, transitions can easily be added to your movie if you wish. Aleeyah Productions by default does not add transitions because it is not professional and they take away from the photos. Can titles over pictures be added? Yes, titles can be added over the pictures, to explain them, if you would like. Aleeyah Productions does not recommend this because it takes away from the photo shown with the title. It is hard to read a caption and look at a photo in such a short amount of time.
